It will split both soft-woods and closed-grain hard-woods, such as cherry, maple and birch.nnThe base-plate on this log-splitter can be adjusted to three separate positions depending on the size of logs you’re chopping. In position one, the log-splitter can be used to split smaller logs up to a maximum length of 55cm. The maximum recommended log-diameter for each of the three positions is 30cm.nnThe overall weight of the Lawnflite LS83000EV is just 55kg, making it more manoeuvrable than many of the other models in its class.
