Part of the powerful Flexvolt cordless platform, the DeWalt DCMCS575 is a 54v battery powered chainsaw which delivers performance on a par with 50cc petrol machines. It can be used with all of DeWalt’s 54v Flexvolt batteries which have the added benefit that they can be used to power the smaller DeWalt 18v XR cordless power tools aswell. The DCMCS575 has an energy efficient brushless motor for longer runtimes per charge, and is fitted with a 500mm bar. Being battery powered, it requires less maintenance than a petrol chainsaw, and has an auto-oiling system for keeping the chain lubricated automatically. It also has a tooled chain tensioning system built to professional specifications, which helps to ensure that the chain remains reliably tensioned during use. The chain speed has been optimised for improved torque which prevents the saw getting bogged down, and the chain brake stops the chain in less than one second if triggered.
