The days of putting in fence posts taking all day and being a backbreaking job even for two people are long gone. Portek has released a single-person-operated hand-held petrol post driver (pile driver). The Portek Post Driver is powered by a single cylinder 52cc 2-stroke engine with a power output of 1.42kW. The Post Driver comes complete with 3 fence post adaptors capable of taking posts up to 110mm diameter. The driver fits over the top of the post and uses a hydraulic action to push or drive the post into the ground. The Post Driver’s 52cc engine helps it power through heavy or compacted soil. The Post Driver uses a 2-stroke engine and the fuel (petrol/engine oil) is mixed before adding to the fuel tank. Portek recommend a 25:1 petrol:oil mixture.
