Your oven uses the Spark Generator to produce the final spark to help ignite the gas and light the flame. It’s wired with the safety gas valve for your oven and won’t open unless it detects that the igniter is hot enough to light the gas. Replace a damaged or faulty Spark Generator using this genuine part if your existing generator doesn’t glow when activated or if it doesn’t get hot enough to trigger the gas valve to open.
