Description
As the name suggests, the Spear and Jackson Versatility Trowel was designed to have a bit more built in functionality than a standard garden trowel, enabling the user to tackle other jobs without having to pause work to go and get another tool first. With a handle made from weatherproofed hard wood, and a mirror polished stainless steel head, the Versatility Trowel features a sharp serrated edge on one side which is ideal for sawing through roots, cutting twine or opening bags of compost. There are engraved depth markers for accurate planting, and a pointed tip which makes it easy to break into hard soil. At the end of the handle there is a durable steel cap which can be used for light duty hammering or tapping – for example to dislodge dried earth which is stuck to plant pots or to drive markers into the soil.
