As well as their 80v lawn mowers Stiga have produced a range of cordless handheld tools which can all be used with the same battery.nThe 5 hand held garden tools include a chain saw, leaf & garden blower, hedge trimmer and 2 brush cutters offering either a loop or double handle.nThe Stiga SHT80AE cordless hedge trimmer offers some excellent features which are normally found only on petrol hedge cutters. The reciprocating 66cm blades are double sided and laser cut for a precision cut and finish. The blades have a 33mm tooth spacing so can tackle thicker hedge and shrub growth along with the thinner fresh growth. Extra operator comfort is provided by the rear handle which can be rotated through 5 positions. Angling the handle correctly will reduce the strain felt in your arms and wrists whilst cutting.nStiga recommend their 80v 2.5Ah battery for the SHT 80 AE but it can be used with the larger batteries and battery harness. The larger the battery the longer the hedge cutter will run.nIf the hedgetrimmer is used in conjunction with the 80v battery harness then the battery is carried in the harness on the users’ back and not clipped into the machine itself. A lead then clips onto the machine transferring the power to the DigiTorq brushless motor inside the hedgecutter. This is very useful if you want to use the more powerful 4Ah and 5Ah lithium-ion batteries as they weigh a kilogram more than the 2.5Ah version.nPlease Note: This is the bare tool with no battery or battery charger included.
