Description
DeWalt’s DCS571 is a compact and lightweight circular saw on the 18v XR lithium ion platform, meaning it shares battery compatibility with a wide range of cordless tools and is also suitable for use with the larger Flexvolt batteries which can give it a huge boost in runtime if required. The DCS571 is a fairly unique design amongst 18v cordless circular saws – it uses 115mm blades and has a shallow profile with an elongated rear handle which gives extended reach for long rip cuts. A dust extraction port at the front of the machine enables dust to be sucked out of the work area by connecting up a vacuum hose, and the auxiliary handle can be removed for one handed use. A hook on the rear handle enables the saw to be hung up out of the way in between uses, and onboard storage for the hex key means it is always to hand when you need to change out a blade. Like most of DeWalt’s new generation of cordless tools, the DCS571 has an energy efficient brushless motor which means you can get more cuts done per battery charge, with a smaller, lighter tool (and no brushes to replace throughout the tools lifetime).
