Powered by a Briggs & Stratton 18 hp electric start 4 stroke, twin-cylinder engine, giving the Timberwolf 18/100G ES Chipper plenty of power. I have personally used the Briggs & Stratton 18 hp engine on mowers before, it’s an economical engine for its size. Maybe the Briggs & Stratton engines are not quite so refined as a Honda engine, but still good, I speak from experience.

However, one thing is for sure that literally millions of Briggs & Stratton engines have been sold all over the world. I have owned many Briggs & Stratton engines and over the years they have given me minimal problems. One of the great things is with Briggs & Stratton engines is the fact that parts are readily available and sensibly priced.

Small Machine Large Capacity

Here we have a very compact machine that is capable of chipping branches up to 4 inches in diameter, that’s around 95 mm. The work rate is around 1.5 times an hour, which is slower than your traditional chipper, however fast enough for most. Most chippers that I have used with feed rollers can cope with several people loading. This machine is obviously a bit slower but a great option and something I would look at if I was just starting out in the arborist industry.
