Timberwolf 18/100G ES Chipper
Today we are looking at the Timberwolf 18/100G ES Chipper, this is Timberwolf’s smallest towable machine. Yesterday we looked at the Timberwolf 13/75G Chipper, which is Timberwolf’s smallest chipper and yet has plenty of power to get the job done. Today we are moving slightly up the scale again to a larger towable gravity-fed chipper.
We Have A Large Selection Of Chipper’s And Shredders Here
Timberwolf is the number one manufacturer of wood chippers in the United Kingdom, for the past 30 years their business has grown considerably. Based in Stowmarket, Suffolk the Timberwolf brand is a very common sight, here in East Anglia. My guess would be that 90% of tree surgeons in East Anglia use a Timberwolf chipper, this suggests something good!
Timberwolf 18/100G ES Chipper

This is a gravity-fed chipper and yet is a commercial machine that can work all day and every day for years. You can also buy with confidence knowing that the Timberwolf chipper is backed up by a national network of dealers.
If you are a tree surgeon or arborist just setting up your business for the first time, then the Timberwolf 18/100G ES Chipper could be your answer. It’s a small machine with great capabilities. For under £10,000 you could be the proud owner of a brand-new roadworthy towable chipper.

Engine
Powered by a Briggs & Stratton 18 hp electric start 4 stroke, twin-cylinder engine, giving the Timberwolf 18/100G ES Chipper plenty of power. I have personally used the Briggs & Stratton 18 hp engine on mowers before, it’s an economical engine for its size. Maybe the Briggs & Stratton engines are not quite so refined as a Honda engine, but still good, I speak from experience.
However, one thing is for sure that literally millions of Briggs & Stratton engines have been sold all over the world. I have owned many Briggs & Stratton engines and over the years they have given me minimal problems. One of the great things is with Briggs & Stratton engines is the fact that parts are readily available and sensibly priced.
The 18 hp twin-cylinder engine comes with electric start and recoil start. It’s always good to have the recoil start system at the ready, just in case of emergency.
Small Machine Large Capacity
Here we have a very compact machine that is capable of chipping branches up to 4 inches in diameter, that’s around 95 mm. The work rate is around 1.5 times an hour, which is slower than your traditional chipper, however fast enough for most. Most chippers that I have used with feed rollers can cope with several people loading. This machine is obviously a bit slower but a great option and something I would look at if I was just starting out in the arborist industry.
To Conclude
If you are a tree surgeon just setting up your business, I believe that the Timberwolf 18/100G ES Chipper could be your ideal solution. I have in general always purchased new machinery as I like to have peace of mind and reliability. For around £9500 you could be the proud owner of a new Timberwolf chipper and have the peace of mind of owning a new machine with a warranty.
